The main IFTA benefits of a CATA membership

An annual subscription to CATA includes a membership of the International Federation of Technical Analysts Inc (IFTA) which provides access to certified training qualifications as well as access IFTA webinars and other technical analysis publications.

When you are interested in taking the Certification courses from IFTA consider that a $90 CDN annual membership in CATA can save you $300 US in course fees.

Cost of IFTA courses March 2026

*Additional Fees (CFTe II only):

$100 US proctor fee.

$250 US translation fee (Except for English and German).

Upon successful completion of both levels, the candidate is awarded the "Certified Financial Technician" designation, which certifies that the candidate has a thorough knowledge of the field, and can understand and apply advanced technical analysis concepts and tools.

Once registered, CATA members will occasionally receive discounts on a range of products and services related to the financial markets, such as workshops or trading related software.

Once CATA becomes a full member of IFTA $15 US (~$20 CDN) of your annual member dues pays for our membership in this Association, which serves the following purposes:

1.    To foster the establishment of societies of technical analysis in financial centres around the world.

2.    To provide a central exchange for international data.

3.    To maintain and encourage the highest standards of professional ethics among technical analysts worldwide.

4.    To provide meetings and encourage interchange of material and ideas.

Each year, one member society of IFTA hosts a three-day seminar with attendees from member societies around the world. As a member of CATA you are entitled to attend and participate at IFTA member rates.
